AI smart home for the elderly.

Automating elderly care. Because getting old should be better.

The problem

Age in place, with dignity.

You know how the story goes. Your parent is getting older and can’t safely live alone anymore, but they don’t want to leave the home they built a life in. You have your own life to live, with your own commitments. So what do you do?

  • They want to stay in the home they built a life in.
  • You have your own work, kids and commitments.
  • Everyone wants to know they’re okay.

Introducing Kōkua

Peace of mind for everyone.

Kōkua combines smart-home devices, cameras and wearables with AI, so your parent can keep living at home and you can keep living your life. Know they’re okay from anywhere.

How it works

  1. 01

The right technology for their home

Every family is different. We help you choose the right mix of smart-home devices, wearables, cameras and robotics to make care work from a distance. As needs change, it’s easy to add more.

  2. 02

    Check in from anywhere

At the office, at a dance recital or across the country, your dashboard shows how things are at home, and you can check in by video whenever you need to.

  3. 03

    Alerts before things go wrong

Kōkua learns your loved one’s routines, keeps an eye on things, and lets you know when something seems off.

Our story

Built for my grandmother first.

My grandmother turns 100 this December and still lives in her Honolulu home. My mom is her caregiver; I help from Seattle. We had cameras, a watch and sensors — and five apps nobody could keep up with. So I built the layer that was missing. Kōkua has run in her home since September 2026.
